Lady M joins the nation’s efforts towards a cashless society

Apart from its delectable spread of confectionaries, Lady M also connotes stylish and contemporary elegance. Hailing from the streets of New York, Lady M has been serving up gastronomic delights since 2001. Upon arriving in Singapore, Lady M has opened cake boutiques currently located at Orchard Central and Westgate. Well-known for pioneering the much beloved Mille Crepe cakes, which features no less than twenty paper-thin handmade crepes layered with light pastry cream, Lady M will be accepting only cashless payment methods for all sale transactions at its South Beach Avenue Boutique from Monday, 15 January 2018 onwards.

After PM Lee’s clarion call for businesses to embrace mobile payments in Singapore, significant steps have been taken towards achieving his vision of a Smart Nation. Key players in the payments industry like NETS, Grab, and Visa have come up with their own methods of mobile payment such as NETSPay initiative, Grab Pay, and mVisa. Other banks have also adopted their own mobile payment modes eventually led to the establishment of the SG QR, which seeks to bring together the different modes under one unified SG QR code

While the infrastructure for the advent of mobile payments in Singapore is undergoing rapid development, it is of no use if it gains no traction amongst merchants and consumers. By being one of the pioneering merchants in accepting solely cashless payments, Lady M has shown its willingness to support the digital initiatives in Singapore. Allowing cashless payments in its branch would make the payment process more efficient, thus improving on the overall customer experience. The cashless payment modes currently accepted by Lady M includes Alipay, Apple Pay and Samsung pay, amongst others. Do head down to Lady M outlets listed here to partake in an unforgettable gastronomic feast.

Another business that had gone totally cashless is Ducatus Café at Oxley Tower on Robinson Road. It was opened in December 2017, housing a bitcoin atm and only accept cashless payments like Bitcoin, Ducatus Coin, Visa and MasterCard among others.
