FOMO Pay clinches exclusive online voting partnerships with Sing! China and Miss Chinese Cosmos Pageant Singapore

FOMO Pay is honoured to be the exclusive online voting partner for Sing! China (中国新歌声)’s Singapore auditions this year and Miss Chinese Cosmos Pageant Singapore (中华小姐环球大赛新加坡赛区) 2016.

Aside from designing the voting sites, FOMO Pay also provided technical support and facilitated back-end payment collection from votes.

With FOMO Pay, voters got to select from a variety of payment methods – Visa/MasterCard, Union Pay, WeChat Scan and Pay and Alipay, allowing the events to successfully target both local and Chinese consumers.

Chinese reality television shows have been gaining traction in Singapore, with shows such as Sing! China (中国新歌声) and If You Are the One (非诚勿扰) becoming household names in recent years.

Sing! China (中国新歌声) was formerly known as China Super Vocal or The Voice of China (中国好声音). Due to copyright claims over the brand name, it has been rebranded recently. It is a widely popular Chinese reality singing competition, and has seen local talents like Singapore Idol’s Olinda Cho, Campus Superstar 1’s champion Ng Chee Yang (Zhiyang) and Nathan Hartono competing to claim the title.

In April 2016, the well-known singing competition held auditions here in Singapore, choosing the top 12 finalists out of more than 1,700 contestants.

Fans were then asked to vote for the top 12 finalists to show their support.

Established in 2003, the annual contest organized by Phoenix Satellite Television Holdings (凤凰卫视) has been one of the most prominent global Chinese beauty pageants. It aims to bridge the gap between Chinese all around the world, and to build new beauty standards by valuing characteristics such as intelligence, courage and love.

The voting site was created for supporters to vote for the Top 18 contestants in the Semi Finals, as scores were included for their ranking in the Finals.
